France has 22 million dogs and cats, but how much hair do they leave behind? Between 6,000 and 7,000 tonnes a year, according to a very young company, Brosseur, which has decided to take up the challenge of recycling it. The first step is to collect them. Nathalie, a groomer, collects them by the handful. Normally, this hair ends up in the bin. “I used to throw away about 60 kg a month,” she says in the TF1 report above. But recently, she’s been putting them aside.
