Personalized medicine: the next generation of healthcare by 2030
ICPerMed, an international consortium on personalized medicine bringing together more than 40 European and international partners, including the ANR, has analyzed the needs of actors in the field in recent years, identifying 5 main challenges and action levers for the implementation of personalized medicine. These are explained in a Vision Paper published in 2019.
On the basis of this strategic document, the ICPerMed conference “Personalized Medicine – From Vision to Practice” will be organized around 5 sessions during which speakers will present courses of action for :

Health democracy and the inclusion of patients’ and citizens’ preferences ;
Strengthening the harmonization of data for better use;
The integration of personalized medicine in health systems;
The creation of an efficient entrepreneurial ecosystem between academia and industry to stimulate health innovation;
Redefining the notion of value for a health system by integrating patient preferences and socio-economic aspects.
A session will also be dedicated to the lessons learned from the Covid-19 pandemic and the contribution of personalized medicine in the fight against infectious diseases. Finally, examples of best practices for the implementation of personalized medicine will be presented by the winners of the ICPerMed Recognition 2020.
The conference will bring together world-renowned researchers, experts in ELSI (ethical, legal and societal), health economists, patients and representatives from industry, regulatory authorities, and ICPerMed members, including representatives from government ministries, research funding agencies and policy makers.
