Lorraine’s SuperRail project is one of seven national winners of the Corifer 2021 call for expressions of interest (Comité d’orientation de la recherche et de l’innovation de la filière ferroviaire), which aims to improve the performance, operation and maintenance of trains and the rail network, as well as their adaptation to climate change. Led by SNCF Réseau, Absolut System, CentraleSupélec, Nexans France and the University of Lorraine, SuperRail aims to integrate superconducting technologies into the French rail network. We met with the project leader, Kévin Berger, a lecturer at GREEN, who tells us more.
