International Conference on Metal-Binding Peptides: Methodologies and Applications, 1st International Conference on Metal-Binding Peptides will be held in Nancy from July 5 to 8, 2022.
Organized by Laetitia Canabady-Rochelle – CNRS research fellow at the Laboratoire Réactions et Génie des Procédés (LRGP) and Peter Faller – professor at the University of Strasbourg and researcher at the Institut de Chimie de Strasbourg, this conference is currently expecting more than 150 participants from 25 countries and four continents with about 100 oral communications and 30 posters.
MBP’2022 will cover a wide range of topics and disciplines around peptides and metals, from basic research to their most diverse applications. The idea behind this first conference is to bring together academic and industrial scientists from different backgrounds by focusing on metal chelating peptides in different fields. This conference has been designed to create a strong synergistic effect in an innovative atmosphere, thanks to the mixing of skills and disciplines, in order to allow a sharing of knowledge and know-how (experimental approaches and techniques, chemical structure of compounds, etc.), and an emulation between scientists.
Thus, this congress will deal with a very large field of applications and methodologies coming from a large panel of disciplines, by approaching in particular food, nutrition, chemistry, microbiology, cell biology, biology in general, catalysis, environment, origin of life and evolution, dairy products, imaging, models, cosmetics, pharmacy, health, materials, etc. The peptides considered can be of different nature and origin and thus include synthetic peptides, expressed peptides, isolated or produced from various natural resources, peptidomimetics, etc. and capable of interacting with all types of metals (essential, toxic, etc.) present in the form of ions, metal-ligand complexes, or even nanoparticles
The organizing committee is expecting many of you!
