With helium and hydrogen, 45-8 Energy from Metz wants to make our planet breathe. The start-up headed by Nicolas Pélissier, which has just been selected as part of the stimulus package with a €1.6 million grant, draws its inspiration from innovations that are unique in Europe.

GREENS. “We specialize in the exploration and production of eco-responsible industrial gases that are valorized in a short circuit. We are particularly interested in helium and natural hydrogen, which are produced by the planet and therefore completely decarbonized. Before 45-8 Energy, this exploration of green gases had never been attempted. Our intuition was to look for them on our own soil and not to import them from Algeria, Qatar or the United States.
