We’re advised to eat 5 fruits and vegetables a day, but is this really possible or even necessary? Thanks to Laurent Miclo, professor at the University of Lorraine, IUT Brabois, and teacher of nutrition and dietetics, we’ve got the facts.
Laurent reminded us that it’s perfectly possible, since, for example, an apple weighs 200 grams. He reminded us of the benefits for health, particularly in the fight against cardiovascular disease.
Jean Sebastien MENGIN, our chef for the day, gave us a few recipes, including Lorraine sausage with lentils (the lentils are the vegetables, not the sausage!).
