Andres David Pina Martinez – LRGP – Doctoral school SIMPPÉ

Thesis subject (carried out within the LRGP): Cubic equations of state and higher order models to describe fluid mixtures: Development, parameterization and validation on industrial processes of energy conversion.

Factual: What did your thesis subject consist of?

I worked on the selection of fluids required for the operation of innovative machines capable of jointly producing cold, heat and electricity from renewable sources. The selection was made according to a set of specifications including thermodynamic, environmental and safety constraints. To estimate the properties of each fluid very precisely, I worked on the development of mathematical expressions called equations of state.

Thesis supervisors: Jean-Noël Jaubert and Romain Privat
