Lorraine Fab Living Lab, ERPI’s experimental plateform, Nancy
Axis: Physical and virtual prototyping
Additive manufacturing
Virtual Reality
Sensor
Digital Twin
The activity of this platform for the prototyping part is based on the development and application to industrial and research contexts of Virtual Reality and Additive Manufacturing technologies.
For virtual prototyping the range of know-how is wide. Indeed, we develop at the same time
– immersive environments or urban territories as seen in the PRISMUPA projects (http://lf2l.fr/projects/innovation-on-health/) and for the city of Nancy (http://lf2l.fr/projects/fabrique-nancy/).
– complex objects (http://lf2l.fr/projects/innovation-on-health/).
Finally, thanks to a Labcom-type partnership with a company specialized in the development of physiological sensors, we offer more and more integration between real and virtual domains (Digital Twins).
For physical prototyping, we develop all types of objects and structures using additive manufacturing technologies.
– FFF (FDM), mono and bi-materials, rigid flexible and composite structure short and long fibers.
– Strato wood, plastic, etc.
– SLS, SLM, all types of plastic powder etc.
– 3DP, material spraying or jet of plastic, ceramic, etc.
– SLA, all types of photo-polymerizable resin.
This platform being transversal, we collaborate closely with other laboratories of the research department (LERMAB, LRGP) but also with other research departments (M4, A2F).
