Factuel interviewed Alex Royer, a doctoral student at CIFRE – industrial agreements for training through research – under contract with Safran Aircraft Engines. He tells us about his career path.
What is your background?
I began my career at the Ecole des pupilles de l’Air near Grenoble, France, in preparatory classes. This school belongs to the French Air Force and mainly trains for the Grandes Ecoles d’Officiers competitive exams. I had, during my years in secondary school, been bitten by the aviation virus thanks to the BIA and then to my training for the Private Pilot Basic Certificate. My objective was then to join the Army as a flight crew.
