Turning wood into hydrogen is not a new idea. But, in Épinal, scientists are producing green hydrogen using wood and all its waste!
The “Erbe” team at LERMAB is looking to produce green hydrogen, with zero waste, in order to transfer this technology to industry.
“Today, the hydrogen that is used is hydrogen produced from natural gas, which is a fossil energy. In the laboratory, we make green hydrogen from renewable and local sources,” explains Yann Rogaume, professor and deputy director of LERMAB in Épinal.
