An ENSTIB engineer who graduated from the ABC Master’s program in 2019, Elise Balbo has since been working at LERMAB, under the leadership of Jean-François Bocquet, a research professor. Her mission is to promote the use of hardwood in wood construction, through grooved assemblies. She tests and assembles hardwood parts (oak, beech, birch), in collaboration with the technicians of the Campus Bois, both on the robot and on the traditional machine park.
“My research is focused on the quality of machining from one species to another. The training I received at ENSTIB was useful, especially in understanding the different constraints related to the products I work on.
