Synthesis, characterization and comparison of new bulk superconductors

Superconducting materials are already used for various technological applications such as MRI, particle gas pedals, TOKAMAKs or superconducting cables. With this, new projects are being developed such as superconducting electric motors or magnetic shields which may require the use of superconducting masses as permanent magnet or magnetic shield. In this perspective, this thesis focuses on the synthesis, characterization and comparison of different superconducting materials such as iron or copper oxide superconductors. Furnace and flash sintering syntheses have been used to synthesize iron-selenium superconductors to optimize their properties and the purity of the superconducting phase.
