Can Corsica achieve energy self-sufficiency by 2050? For Mohamed El Ganaoui, a professor at the University of Lorraine specializing in energy systems and the founding president of the ICOME conference, the key is first and foremost to set a course. “Research isn’t linear; it can move very quickly at certain times and sometimes more slowly,” he notes. “Setting a goal is a positive step.”
