Silvia Lasala, a lecturer at the University of Lorraine, researcher at the Laboratoire Réactions et Génie des Procédés (LRGP) and teacher at ENSIC, has just been awarded a 1.5 million euro grant by the ERC (European Research Council) for her Reacher project (Reactive fluids for intensified thermal energy conversion). It aims to exploit chemical energy in thermodynamic cycles to produce electricity from a waste heat source or a renewable thermal energy source.
