[ANR 2023] Focus on the new MCMET project
Focus on the new MCMET project
The Laboratoire énergies & mécanique théorique et appliquée (LEMTA) is proud to have been awarded 4 grants from the ANR’s 2023 Generic Call for Projects: 3 Collaborative Research Projects (PRC) and 1 Young Researchers Project (JCJC).
4/4 Focus on the MCMET PRC project
Monte Carlo methods for the energy transition: nonlinear couplings via collision frequencies
(Numerical Models, Simulation, Applications Axis)
This project concerns the extension of Monte Carlo path sampling methods to non-linear phenomena for the prediction of heat exchanges in various systems: radiant systems, transfers in buildings, transfers for climate. It implements a very recent unified stochastic formalism that enables radiative transfers with or without diffusion, conduction and/or convection to be described with the same set of equations.
